  • Paul Graves, a snowboard innovator and legend of the sport, and Rob Apple, a Vermont industry executive with deep ties to skiing, have been elected Directors of the Vermont Ski Museum. The Vermont Ski Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting, preserving and celebrating Vermont's ski and snowboarding history. The Museum also announced a search for a President to expand the institution's communications and fundraising activities.

  • Tim Little of Milton has recently joined Attacca Realty of South Burlington as a Realtor with over 5 years of experience. Tim has been a multi-million dollar producer and strives to maximize his clients return as a buyer or seller.

  • Heather Shouldice, the former owner of a well-known downtown business and currently a Montpelier-based lobbyist was recently named president of the Montpelier Rotary Club. She takes over from Andrew Brewer, the owner of Onion River Sports on Langdon Street, who served as president for the last year.

  • On August 3-7, more than 450 professional truck drivers from all 50 states will meet in Columbus, Ohio, to put their safe-driving skills to the test in the National Truck Driving Championships (NTDC), known as “the Super Bowl of Safety.” Drivers earn the right to compete in this prestigious annual event by first winning titles in their respective vehicles classes at the state level.

  • PMG Public Relations announces the addition of a new associate. Thomas Kupfer has started work at PMG as Assistant Account Executive. Mr. Kupfer was previously employed by Okemo Mountain Resort as communications coordinator and at Liberty Sports Magazine as a contributing editor. He holds a Masters of Science in Communication from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University. PMG is a public relations firm located in Burlington, Vermont serving socially responsible businesses, nationally.

     

  • Vermont Mozart Festival has formally announced the appointment of a new Artistic Director, international sensation Gil Shohat. Described by Forbes magazine as “the most important and influential personality in classical music in Israel,” Shohat is the composer of nine large-scale symphonies, ten concertos for various instruments, three operas, various oratorios, cantatas, solo vocal pieces, and dozens of chamber and piano pieces, as well as the performer of more than 80 concerts a year worldwide, both as a conductor and pianist.

  • Betsy Forrester joins Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman Realty as a Realtor. Betsy chose to make the Burlington area her home following graduation from Middlebury College because she loved its vibrancy, sense of community & easy access to outdoor recreation. She has worked in hospitality management & marketing for two decades.

  • The American Institute of Architects, Vermont Chapter (AIA-VT) is pleased to announce the selection of Carol Miklos as its new executive director.

  •  The Vermont Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Patricia Moulton Powden to the state’s leading business organization. Powden, who recently joined the organization as Vice President of Public Affairs, will be responsible for initiatives in both the legislative and regulatory arenas.
