David Young: Shelburne Museum Conversations Series
CONVERSATIONS WITH A DANCER, A POET AND A PAINTER:
SERIES FOCUSES ON NATURE AND SPIRITUALITY IN ART
A dancer, a poet and a painter share their views about spirituality and nature in their art in a series entitled Conversations: Art, Spirituality, Nature scheduled throughout March at All Souls Interfaith Gathering.
Wednesday, March 17, 3-5 PM: David Young is an award-winning poet who also edits, translates and teaches poetry. His recent work includes a collection of poems entitled Black Lab and the translation Du Fu, A Life in Poetry. His book of selected and new poems, Field of Light and Shadow, is due out in the fall.
Journalist Fran Stoddard will lead lively discussions with individual artists in three interviews. The artists featured are dancer Andrea Olsen from Middlebury College, poet David Young, professor emeritus at Oberlin College and painter Eric Aho of Saxtons River, Vt. The events are free.
The Conversation series is presented by Shelburne Museum in association with Shelburne Farms, All Souls Interfaith Gathering and Champlain College.
